Bayer is an innovation company with a more than 150-year history and core competencies in the life science fields of health care and agriculture. “Health for all, Hunger for none”, that’s the vision guided by the company purpose, „Science for a Better Life“.

Bayer’s links with China have a long tradition, going back to 1882 when the company first came to China. With the country now among the fastest-growing markets in the world, Bayer has stepped up its involvement in the region. Today, China accounts for sales of around EUR 3.5 billion in 2020. By December 31, 2020, nearly 10 thousand people were employed by Bayer in China.

69,789 Porsche cars were handed over to Chinese customers in the first nine months of 2021, ensuring that China remains the largest single global market for Porsche.
