Abstract:
The lecture tells about Shanghai modern urban planning history in the latest 100 years and the role of urban planning for urban development and the trend in different historical stages. Especially in the post-period of the reform and opening up, the general development trajectory, bottleneck and countermeasure faced by China's mega-cities. From the incremental expansion to the upgradation of connotation, from the physical morphology to the humanistic space, the urban planning history of Shanghai is also a process of value evolution of city development.
